1.2. COMPUTER NETWORK ADMINISTRATION

  • Course description: Fundamentals of LAN/WAN configuration, server configuration, network security, user and permission management, an introduction to cloud solutions.

  • Intended audience: IT technicians, individuals aiming to develop a career in IT departments, graduates of IT programs.

  • Funding opportunities: The course can be part of programs supporting the development of digital competencies (including EU-funded projects).


Graduate profileA graduate of the Computer Network Administration course will have:


  1. Practical knowledge of computer network architecture (LAN/WAN) and principles of secure configuration.

  2. The ability to configure network devices (routers, switches) and administer servers (Windows Server, Linux systems).

  3. The ability to detect and resolve network issues and address basic security threats.

  4. An initial understanding of cloud solutions (e.g. AWS, Azure) and their possible applications.

  5. The ability to work within an IT team and use documentation and monitoring tools.

Graduates will be prepared for a Junior Network Administrator role in companies of various sizes and industries, as well as for further specialization (industry certifications, cybersecurity roles).
